PHONE ISSUES AND SOLUTION

We are aware that we have been having issues with calls getting through to us from certain clients. We apologize for the problem and, since its a central station issue,  are not quite sure how to get it resolved. If you can’t get through for any reason, please call our back up system at 212 594 3006. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.

Winter Weather

We here at Lightspeed are all ready for winter to end so we can complain about how hot it is.

Christmas Season

As the holiday season rolls around and we start delivering gifts, we just want people to be aware that deliveries may take longer. Please be sure to tell us if you have firm deadlines and we will do our best to make them or let you know that we can’t. We apologize for any issues this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

End of Summer/Labor Day

We hope you all have had a good summer. We want to remind you we will be closed on Labor Day reopening Tuesday, September 2nd.

Snow Snow Snow

The recent weather has been brutal for a courier service. We are aware that our vans, trucks and messengers have been taking longer than usual. But just as baseball returns every year, so does Spring and we promise that these delays will melt away.

Superbowl Week

As the snow sticks around and the streets get closed for the Superbowl celebrations, we apologize for the service difficulties we have had and are going to have. Sadly, there really is no way to avoid them. Please call us and let us know firm deadlines and we will do all we can to meet them.

Thank you for your understanding.

We want to wish you all a very happy holiday season.

Fuel Surcharge

As gas prices fall so has our fuel surcharge. We are now at 10 percent down from 18 percent.

Labor Day

Lightspeed will be closed on Labor Day, opening at 6 AM September 3rd. We hope you all had a great summer.

Parking Spaces and vehicle delivery times

While Lightspeed as a company values the greening of NYC & the surrounding boroughs via the bike share program, there is also a down side to this new program.

You have all seen the new bike lanes which were created all over Manhattan and some of the surrounding boroughs. The creation of these bike lanes created new traffic patterns. Parking spaces, which were hard to find prior, got even harder to find. By now, you have probably seen the new bicycle parking racks installed all over the city. These new racks can take up to 20 percent of the parking spots on a particular block.

The ultimate effect is unfortunately going to be vehicle deliveries taking longer. Drivers are circling the block in the search for the continually disappearing parking spots.
Please be patient when expecting a delivery, as in some cases it will take longer than it used to.

Thank you for your understanding.
